Stax Trade Centres are delighted to announce that we’ve expanded the range of own-brand products we offer to independent retailers and trade professionals, with the acquisition of the Groundsman brand of premium household brooms, brushes and dustpans. Previously distributed by LG Harris, Groundsman brooms are now available exclusively from Stax Trade Centres. This is the latest step by Stax to strengthen our growing own-brand product portfolio and increase our support for independent businesses.
The Groundsman brushes are made from Forest Stewardship Council-approved wooden stocks, finished in a medium oak varnish. They feature rugged and durable push-fit plastic sockets, and offer a variety of fillings to suit a wide range of applications. They now join the growing range of Stax own-brands and form part of over 45,000 different product lines which we offer.
The acquisition of Groundsman is tremendous news for us. The Groundsman range is well established and has an excellent reputation for both quality and value for money. Having previously been a distributor for the brand, we’re delighted to now be able to add it to our own brand portfolio. Given that there is a degree of uncertainty in today’s economic climate this is a really positive step forward for Stax, and it underlines our commitment to strengthen our position and help our customers remain competitive and profitable with quality brands in the mix. We believe our customers will appreciate the fact that they can now source an even wider selection of well-known brand products from their local Stax Trade Centre.
This exciting development provides the full Groundsman product range with a new but thoroughly proven route to market through Stax, which will allow it to reach new customers right across the country. It will also create an impressive range of fresh opportunities for trade and retail customers who are new to the Groundsman brand. They will also be able to benefit from a range of pre-configured and stocked display stands which are fully branded and designed to maximise sales.
Any customers who currently purchase Groundsman products from LG Harris can be sure that their usual stock requirements will still be available from our Stax Trade Centres. These will be the same household brooms and brushes manufactured in the same factory, and offering the same quality and attractive pricing for which the Groundsman name is known. This will allow those customers to continue offering Groundsman products to their own customers in complete confidence, especially as Stax will be investing in the brand and adding to it in the future.
We are dedicated to serving independent tradespeople, retail businesses and garden centres, and we work to provide them with the very best support. Expanding the choice available from our own-range brands allows us to do exactly that. This is another step forward in our mission to support our customers by offering attractive product lines with affordable prices, plus impressive profit margins which allow them to compete with major national and online brands. Developing our portfolio of own-brand products in this way is an important part of our long-term strategy to grow our business by increasing the level of support we provide to our customers.
Keep up to date with all the latest news from Stax.
