The Horticultural Trades Association (HTA) is delighted to announce the launch of a brand new PR campaign, aimed at encouraging and inspiring consumers to get out in their gardens, following the poor weather of last year.
The campaign is aimed at encouraging gardeners to transform their garden through colour, scent, wildlife and outdoor entertaining throughout the spring and into the summer season. Running under the strapline of ‘Spring into Summer’, the aim is to kick start the gardening season and will draw from qualitative research and reflect the inspiration and promise that drives garden owners through a range of media activity.
‘Spring into Summer’ will also encompass National Gardening Week (15-18 April), the RHS Chelsea Flower Show centenary celebrations as well as occasion days such as Mothers Day and Easter.
A series of media stories will be developed around key themes for spring gardening activities and will feature in the national and regional consumer media. The stories will offer advice and tips on how to get the best from your garden in the spring so consumers can relax and enjoy their efforts in the summer months.
HTA’s Director General Carol Paris said, “With 2012 being so wet, consumers will be looking forward to getting out.
in their gardens. There is a pent up enthusiasm amongst gardeners and the industry that 2013 will be a good year and our new ‘Spring into Summer’ campaign will help revitalise the nation’s gardens.”
