There’s no denying that the kitchen is the hub of all activity in every home. It’s where food is prepared and enjoyed, family meetings are held and guests congregate during parties. Whilst some sectors have struggled in recent times, the trade kitchens, bathrooms and bedrooms market has prospered, with consumers across the country spending more on home improvements than ever before.
If recent interest at our in-branch kitchen showrooms has told us anything, it’s that now is a very good time to be a kitchen fitter.
Those thoughts are echoed by Faith Furniture - the biggest supplier to Stax’s trade kitchen department. When founded in 2014, the Radcliffe-based company offered 20 different door styles with its flagship LochAnna brand. After rapid growth, it now supplies more than 340 unique kitchen styles and includes other brands such as Form and Evo Kitchens.
“The demand last year was absolutely through the roof,” confirms Faith Kitchens category manager Sinead Trainor.“I think the whole sector saw that people were making a lot of home improvements, because obviously we weren’t able to go on holiday or go out.
“We’ve seen a massive shift in the way that people plan their kitchens. It’s not just about the finished product and how it looks, it’s about how they use it for what they need. Customers are not just considering how they use it today, they’re also thinking about how they’re going to use it in five years’ time, for example if they have children.
“I think order values are generally going up in the kitchen market, with customers choosing things that are higher quality and making bolder colour choices as well.”
Craftsmanship and quality are also high up on Faith Kitchens’ agenda. The EvoKitchens range boasts a 5-year guarantee, whilst all Form and LochAnna lines are covered up to 10 years. At the same time, a high quality kitchen doesn’t have to break the bank. The Stax kitchen planning team are always happy to deal directly with the end user, although trade customers can pick up unpriced catalogues at their nearest branch which can then be passed on to their customers, giving the option to add a mark-up.
“Quality is a big thing,” Sinead continues. “Our cabinet, for example, is one of the best on the market. It’s really popular with fitters because it’s dead easy to install with some great features. Also, the door factories that we work with supply an Italian-style product, which is painted and of fantastic quality. “We want to give people solutions. So rather than just giving them a standard base cabinet, we try and think about it a bit more than that to give them something that really makes the best use of the space. That’s a big part of where we’ve placed our investment in new products over the last couple of years and we’re going to continue doing the same.”
Stax trade kitchen ranges can be viewed in person at any one of our six Stax branches. In fact, we encourage our customers to bring their own customers and use the kitchen showrooms as if it was their own. This gives kitchen fitters and joiners the tools to sell kitchens in a more immersive way.
You can view all the Faith Kitchens ranges and take advantage of our FREE kitchen design and planning service at any Stax branch. Just visit your nearest showroom or call to book an appointment.
