Hey Jude and Yes Sir, I Can Boogie have been the summer soundtrack for football fans across the UK, but for our in-branch customers, it’s been the sound of sweet deals and giveaways during the Stax Summer of Sport.
For Stax customers, this summer calendar has been packed full of sport and exclusive in-branch deals and giveaways. The Stax Summer of Sport, has been a great success with customers and staff all getting into the sporting spirit and enjoying all that we have on offer.
To kick off the event we gave away Euro match wall charts and mini footballs to all Stax members when they visited their nearest Stax branch. In partnership with our friends at Soudal, a UK branch road show was held. This gave our customers the chance to enter a prize draw for Euros tickets by taking part in the ‘Beat the Keeper’ challenge, whilst also receiving demonstrations of Soudal’s products.
From football to tennis and with the start of Wimbledon, Stax customers were treated to strawberries and cream. The offers have continued to flow, with 10-15% off a huge range of lines and products, whilst darts and golf competitions were held in all branches.
Many fancied themselves as the next Luke Littler, aiming for a bullseye to be in with the chance of winning prizes such as televisions, hot tubs and BBQs. And as Rory McIlroy suffered late heartbreak at the Masters, our customers found hitting a hole in one harder than expected!
The excitement did not stop there, with the Olympics and Tour De France. Customers in Manchester were put to the test in a 60 second sprint time trail. An activity hosted by Quick Step, customers had one minute to cycle as far as possible on a static spin bike for the chance to win a £100 in store voucher.
We want to thank everyone who participated in our Summer of Sport campaign. Your enthusiasm and support made it a huge success.
David Hibbert, MD of Stax, expressed his satisfaction with the event’s success, noting that the decision to extend the Big Brand event to three weeks was in response to growing customer demand. “The extended format allowed our sales reps to reach more customers, including those who couldn’t attend previous events,” Hibbert explained.
Feedback from suppliers was overwhelmingly positive, with many praising the event as an essential opportunity to engage with customers face-to-face. This interaction helped foster stronger relationships and allowed suppliers to introduce their latest products directly to a highly engaged audience.
Keep up to date with all the latest news from Stax.
