After a challenging year for everybody, we were delighted to round out 2020 on a high as recipients of the Mica Special Service Award 2020. 

Mica held their AGM on Sunday 13th December, and as well as the usual business functions, it also included fundraising for the Rainy Day Trust and results from a membership awards poll.

Members were asked to vote for three winners from Mica’s partner suppliers for a 2020 Special Service Award. Stax emerged as one of the clear favourites in recognition of our outstanding customer services provided to independent retailers during the pandemic.

Announcing us as a winner, Mica Business Unit Director Michael Ball, said:

“Given the difficulties all businesses have had to go through during 2020, we felt it appropriate to seek the views of the membership on who had gone the extra mile during this most difficult of years and find a way to recognise that.

“Stax impressed with their adaption to Covid-19 conditions, continued regular deliveries throughout the pandemic and great customer service despite all the challenges this year has thrown at the business.”

In lieu of a gift of thanks, Mica will be making a donation to the Rainy Day Trust, a charity dedicated to helping people within our industry during times of need.
