The energy cap has now been frozen at £2,500 per household for two years from October, many homes are looking for ways to become more efficient when it comes to energy usage.
Not only is reducing heat loss essential for household costs, it’s also kinder to the environment, reducing a home’s carbon emissions. In fact, according to The Energy Saving Trust, around 21% of the UK’s carbon emissions come from homes.
One way to draught-proof a home is the use of draught excluders...
Draught excluders are an essential way to draught-proof a space, as doors and windows are often the main contributors to cold breezes entering buildings. They aren’t exclusively just long cushions that sit at the bottom of doors either, draught excluders are attachments to help keep the warm air in and cold air out, such as letterbox draught excluders and under door brushes.
Under door draught excluders are ideal for screwing onto the bottom of doors. They are often concealed so don’t affect the style of a room whilst minimising cold breezes coming through the door. They can be seals or brushes.
Brush draught excluders can also work for letterboxes. The brush acts as a physical barrier to stop cold air entering a house through the letterbox, making it a simple and cost-effective way to save energy and warmth.
Woodside specialise in draught-proofing solutions for the home, providing consumers with simple and cost-effective ways to minimise heat loss – and as we draw into winter, there has never been a more important time to keep the home warm.
