Stax Manchester recently played host to a number of Chinese delegates who were on their way to the Cologne Fair. They were met at the Manchester branch by members of The British Federation, including current President Cliff Elliot. As well as IHA managing committee chair, Chris Patterson and 4 past and future presidents of the bira group.
The main purpose of this trip was to share details of the IHA congress taking place in Shanghai on 18 – 23 October 2017. The impressive presentation included a downloadable 5-minute video, which is available in limited numbers from Alan Hawkins, CEO of bira, should any members be interested in making advanced plans.
The Chinese delegates had wanted to visit a wholesale business that could demonstrate how the market was evolving and developing in the UK. Hence the reason for the location, as bira recommended Stax as the most professional wholesale business operation. As part of their hosting duties, Stax gave an excellent overview of the UK market in general, as well as their own business development plans and topped it off with a tour of the warehouse.
