Quality fuel from CPL

Did you know that around 200,000 new wood burning and solid fuel stoves are installed in the UK each

Did you know that around 200,000 new wood burning and solid fuel stoves are installed in the UK each year?  And these growing markets of homeowners are looking for a smart smokeless fuel for their new burners.

As a consequence, the winter fuel market is showing strong growth.  But buying coal and other fuel can be a minefield, which is why retailers should always buy from an approved coal merchant to ensure a quality product.

These savvy customers are looking for a fuel to complement the convenience of their central heating, and CPL’s Instant light Ecoal (fire in a bag) offers a perfect match.

All the consumer has to do is light the bag, and then sit back and enjoy over three hours of burning and warmth.

This high quality smokeless fuel is made using a remarkable 50% renewable content – including food grade molasses and crushed olive stones.  Such environmental credentials mean the fuel produces 40% less CO2 than house coal, and has been specially designed for multi-fuel stoves and open fires.

UK fuel manufacturers CPL produce 340,000 tonnes of fuel a year, and their computer controlled process ensures every briquette is of the same high quality, with all their smokeless fuel HETAS approved.

It is important that consumers use the correct fuel for their stove, as manufacturers often won’t honour the warranty if it’s found that the right fuel hasn’t been burnt in the appliance. This is particularly true for wood burners.

And now with Trading Standards clamping down on the sale of unauthorised fuels in smokeless zones it’s vital that retailers ensure they sell the correct fuel.

Smokeless fuel should always state on the bag what fuel is contained within it. Many merchants supply what is known as ‘mixed ovoids’, which is a combination of smokeless briquettes, and then sell this as a smokeless fuel – even though this is not authorised.

A full range of quality CPL fuels and associated products are now available from Stax Trade Centres.
