Research carried out by Simply Business has found that, on average, Roofers are the highest earning trade across the UK.

The top three trades making a mint at the moment are roofers, joiners and electricians. Having said that, it all depends on whereabouts you live. The study also broke average earnings by region, and found that the highest earning painters are based in Glasgow or Edinburgh.

Whilst every trade is unique and will rank differently to others, it’s great to see that tradespeople on the whole are earning much more than they were doing three years ago. The number of skilled workers that are turning over more than £100,000 per year has risen by 60% since 2015.
