Meet Rhys Betteridge from Valspar, the latest hero to take to the saddle and raise a fantastic amount of money for our charity here at the Rainy Day Trust. Rhys started riding to get back to full fitness after a serious achilles injury in 2011 and has stayed on two wheels ever since, sighting the purchase of his first road bike as the day he became a true 'cyclist'.
Competing in major challenges up and down the country, Rhys makes it his mission to ride cycling events for charities that are worthwhile and close to his heart.
His latest challenge was the Velothon Wales on 14th June, a tough 140km road race starting and finishing in Cardiff city centre and taking in some of Wales' most breathtaking mountains and scenery on the way. The Velothon was one of the biggest races Rhys had ever ridden, and has already managed to raise over £200 for the Rainy Day Trust and is hoping to increase that amount.
Congratulations Rhys and a big thank you from everybody!
Keep up to date with all the latest news from Stax.
