Results of a recent health & safety survey carried out for Bosch suggest that tradespeople from across the United Kingdom are the most safety conscious in Europe.
The poll investigated the views of carpenters, electricians, plumbers and other professional tradespeople in the UK plus eight other European countries including Germany, France, Spain and Italy. According to the study, over 56% of UK-based tradespeople said that they stopped work multiple times throughout a working day in order to make sure that they met with health and safety requirements.
As a comparison, only 35% of French workers admitted to stopping a similar amount of times, whilst in Spain, it was 37.5% and in Germany just a touch over 39%.
Of course, it is undoubtedly important to follow health and safety guidelines within the workplace. However, interruptions to the workflow are more likely to have a knock-on effect on efficiency and productivity.
With health & safety regulations becoming tighter and tighter every year, you should make sure that you and your team are taking the necessary precautions to avoid injury.
