Customers of Stax Trade Centres had a great night at this years DIY Week Awards. Three of the top awards from the night were scooped by Stax retail customers; Broad Street DIY, Halls Mica Hardware and Kennedy Mica Hardware.
Broad Street DIY took home the prestigious ‘Retailer of the Year’ award, which was proudly presented by Stax’s own Joint MD, David Hibbert. Halls Mica Hardware snapped up the ‘Marketing Initiative Award’ and Kennedy Mica Hardware rounded the night off with a win in the ‘Business Initiative Award’ category.
The show itself took place at The Motorcycle Museum in Birmingham and was presented by leading foreign correspondent, Clive Myrie, the multi-award winning journalist who features on Panorama, Newsnight and Radio 4. One slight twist from this year's awards was that nominees were unaware of the shortlist beforehand, which led to plenty of surprises on the night.
When asked about the award winners, Stax Operational Director, Nigel Wright commented: “We love nothing more than to see our customers succeeding. We pride ourselves on supporting our independent retail customers in any way we can and it’s great to see three of them win. Huge congratulations to Broad Street DIY, Halls Mica Hardware and Kennedy Mica Hardware on their well-deserved wins.”
Stax Trade Centres are also amongst the list of DIY Week Awards sponsors for what was it’s seventh year in operation.
