Leading wholesaler and supplier to the garden industry, Stax Trade Centres, once again exhibited at Glee, improving their presence in the gardening market.
This year Stax was joined at Glee by renowned UK garden wholesale expert Andy Abraham, who was on hand to help retailers identify opportunities for growth – as well as a new addition to Stax Sales team, Karen Carter.
Since the new additions to the Sales team came in, Stax has seen an increase in performance and a better response from customers on the service received. The new additions brought the National Gardening Sales Team to 16 people. With more team members, they are now able to work with more customers and give better support to them.
Visitors to the Stax stand 5E31 were able to talk to staff about the products being exhibited as well as chat to them about their new challenges. Stax exhibited their new Ambassador range of premium quality garden tools – including the now expanded Ash Handle Collection as well as the new Ambassador Growing Media range.
Their all encompassing popular budget garden brand SupaGarden, was also on show, a range famed for its comprehensive product choice and fantastic margins – and the growing Glenwear Workwear collection, which retailers can now have suitably personalised with custom branding.
The company also launched new catalogues and price lists and featured an array of exclusive composite and stock and stand offers on both branded and own brand range orders placed at the show.
Retailers and other visitors showed a great interest in the products and ranges that Stax exhibited at the show and Stax feel that they have benefited from being at Glee. Many customers, new and current, visited the stand and enquired about products, made orders, and took interest in the new products and ranges.
Stax feel that they put their foot more in the gardening market. By being at Glee, they feel that they increased the number of garden centres and retailers who know about them and their product ranges. They were able to talk to them directly and give a good first impression to new customers.
Joint Managing Director David Hibbert commented, “We are totally committed to supporting UK Garden Centres, and are backing up our words by investing in our sales team, as well as in our product ranges. As the economy comes out of recession in the coming years we believe that we will see strong growth in the Gardening sector, which means we’ll be perfectly placed to help Garden Centres capitalise on growth opportunities.”
