Online transactions have jumped by a massive 28% in the last two years according to the latest research from the UK Card’s Association. Between 2014 and 2016, online card payments went from £120 billion to £154 billion within the UK.
These figures also demonstrate that the UK spends more online per household than any other nation. The stats are further evidence of the continuing switch to digital methods of shopping as technologies and logistics becomes increasingly refined and user-friendly.
To take advantage of this ever-growing market, retailers must start to consider an online presence and marketing strategy. Many independent retailers are still failing to take advantage of Ecommerce even though it's more accessible than ever.
For example, our own EKM solution can provide retailers with an easy to use website pre-loaded with over 40,000 products. Click here for more information.
