Following a fantastic turn out in terms of the UK’s tops home and garden improvement supplier

Published 23rd January 2018

Following a fantastic turn out in terms of the UK’s tops home and garden improvement supplier brands, Paul Grinsell, home improvement director of the British Home Improvement Trade Association (BHETA) says it’s time for industry retailers to get involved in National Home Improvement Week.

The new consumer marketing initiative for 12th to 18th March  2018, which features the URL and tagline ‘Love The Home You Live In’, is already backed by top brands like Dulux, Polycell, Hammerite, Cuprinol, Stanley Black & Decker, Loctite, Unibond, Solvite, No More Nails, Nitromors, Fiskars, Harris, Duck Tape, Frog Tape, T-Rex Tape, ERA Home Security, Gardena, Flymo, McCulloch, Jonsered, Universal, What More UK, Trend Tools, Nilfisk, Vitrex, Plasplugs, Homelux and Duracell.

Paul explains, “Already, we have massive enthusiasm from suppliers to support the campaign’s objective of re-engaging with consumers and driving sales through the whole of the home and garden retail sector. The website, social media and editorial campaigns will launch before Christmas so now we just need retailers to get on board. There are some very positive conversations going on with the consumer media about both traditional home improvement and new-style DIY and upcycling. I’m also in dialogue with both the independent retail sector and the wholesalers which enable them to operate, so I’m very optimistic we can create the final link in the chain.

“We’ll be launching a great package of retail POS and support material as well as promotions and product launches from some of the leading brands, so all kinds of retailers will have everything they need to make the most of this ground-breaking marketing opportunity.”

National Home Improvement Week will embrace all aspects of home and garden improvement from trends to techniques and from achievement tor enjoyment. For more information about getting involved, contact Paul Grinsell at BHETA on 0121 237 1130 or email pg@bheta.co.uk.
