Figures found by the BRC/Springboard-ATCM Footfall and Vacancies Monitor could show that footfall in the three months November to January was 1.8% up on a year ago. This is an improvement on the 2.3% fall in the three months prior to that.
The highest growth in footfall could be found in out-of-town shopping centres with an increase of 3.1%, followed by high streets with 1.4% and shopping centres with 0.8%. Averaging over the last 12 months the numbers for high streets aren’t as rosy, they fared worst with a 4.8% decline.
