For many Christmas is a time for tradition, however, every year we see new trends and features sneaking in amongst those we’re more used to seeing. Those with more modern tastes are usually the first to endorse them, but we’re seeing more and more a blending of contemporary and classic!
Colours
Reds, greens, silvers and golds will always be popular Christmas colours. This year though we’re seeing more unconventional colours, including emeralds, light blues, dusty pinks, rose gold and metallic oranges are just a few popular choices!
Lights
One thing traditional and modern seem to agree on is the use of LED lighting, the general consensus that it looks cleaner and is more efficient. One thing we are seeing much more of is the use of lasers to add a touch of drama to proceedings.
Trees
Trees rarely change, but the way they’re decorated and accessorised does! Matching garlands and wreaths are a must have in 2018 to complete the look, alongside more varied colour palettes for decoration. Although, there are also those who have done away with the traditional fir tree altogether!
See all of these trends and more in our 2018 Christmas Collection, available in branch or online at www.staxtradecentres.co.uk.
