A Stax sponsored vehicle has taken part in a grueling two-day 4x4 event across the Exmoor National Park to raise over £6000 for Charitable causes.

Neil Sims, Distributor Account Manager for the Scotts Miracle-Gro Company, took part in the challenge in order to raise funds for the Wooden Spoon and White Line Fever charities which partner with the UK Rugby community to support disadvantaged children and young people across the UK.

Both driver and vehicle managed to negotiate two days of perilous terrain and raise over £6,000 through sponsorship and associated fundraising activities for these worthy causes.

The weekend was also a success on the track, as he comments, “My Land Rover Discovery made it all the way from start to finish with only one minor mechanical issue, but several driver errors.  It has been a tiring weekend but great fun and I would like to thank everyone at Stax for the great support they have shown to these two fantastic charities.”

Prior to the event the vehicle was also taken down to the Stax Bristol branch during the Big Activity Week so as you can see from the picture taken after the event perhaps Neil’s next fundraising campaign should be a sponsored car wash.
