Results are in from the latest addition to the Stax Group – Stax Trade Centres Edinburgh, and after just 6 months the signs appear positive.
Opened in October 2011, Stax Edinburgh is the 5th trade centre branch and the first in Scotland. Following Stax’ acquisition of delivered wholesaler DF Wishart the company had the opportunity to lease the warehouse next door to provide Edinburgh’s tradesmen with a comprehensive selection of low priced trade supplies.
At 30,000 square feet, the Edinburgh branch is currently the most compact of all Stax branches but still provides a wide choice of painting, decorating, plumbing, electrical, tools, kitchens, bathrooms, hardware and seasonal products, all located in the heart of the city.
Stax Edinburgh Branch Manager, Steven Brady, commented,
“We’ve seen steady growth after a low key opening here in Edinburgh, and we’re now on target to meet the ambitious budget we set prior to opening.
“Our low price kitchen and bathroom range has been a real hit with our customers who have visited the purpose built showroom in their masses.”
With numerous initiatives available for the trade, such as unbranded brochures customers can use as their own, a generous trade rebate scheme, and genuine trade only prices, Stax is quickly becoming a staple supplier to builders and tradesmen across in the city.
Stax Group Chairman, Eddie Brady said,
“Being Edinburgh born and bred, bringing Stax back to my home city has been a long standing ambition. I’m thrilled to see the branch is attracting new customers on a weekly basis – and as a result we’re continually adapting the range to suit our customers.“
Stax is a strict genuine trade only supplier, so prospective customers would be advised to bring in the relevant business identification with them on application. For more details visit www.staxtradecentres.co.uk/about/admission.htm
