Section Assistant/Order Picker Twilight Shift

Monday- Thursday 1.45pm-11pm

The role is critical to the on-going success of the business and demands the ability to work independently and as a team, taking your own initiative as and when needed. This role will be well suited for a candidate who is able to display sound knowledge of warehouse stock systems, is numeracy literate and attention to detail.  This job includes the use of industrial warehouse ladders -  Experience is a must.

General duties:
Picking orders using the hand held scanner from warehouse shelves 
Palletising and shrink wrapping products to pallets ready for despatch
Packing warehouse orders as necessary 
Maintaining a high level of health and safety standards
Operating handling equipment and ensures safety regulations are followed
Performing other general warehouse duties as needed.
You will also do stock replenishment, assisting in shop floor merchandising and providing excellent customer service. A forklift truck reach licence is an advantage.

You must have the ability to multi-task and maintain professional standards at all times.

Picker/Packer - Shopfloor Assistant

To be able to pick a customers order accurately and confidently using a picking device at good speed and be able to pack, palletise and wrap the customers order ready for dispatch. Handling goods with care to prevent damage during the packing process.

You will also be expected to assist on the shopfloor from time to time, with working deliveries, putting stock on the shelves and assist with merchandising.

You should be able to work on your own initiative or as a team member. Have excellent communication with fellow members of staff, Seniors and Managers. 

This is a permanent position working 39 hours a week

Monday to Thursday ( 4 Days) from 9.45am - 8.00pm

Requirements:
Previous experience in a warehouse or picking/packing role preferred
Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks for extended periods of time
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately

Shopfloor Assistant

Working for a wholesale trade cash and carry either working within the Seasonal, Tools & DIY, Housewares or Timber & Building sections of the branch.

Responsibilities and Duties:

To be able to merchandise products, deal with customer enquiries to include using the telephone, and be able to direct customers to the correct section. You should have the ability to work on own initiative, have good communication skills, maintain high standards of discipline, punctuality, and professionalism.

We are happy to consider a variation of hours both part time and full time, must be able to work weekends.
