Proven supervisory skills required for this role.
You will be expected to enhance the development of your section through sales and customer liaison.
To co-operate and support your Section Manager in their objectives to achieve sales targets and customer satisfaction. In the absence of the Section Manager, you should be able to maintain and continue the operation of the section.
You must be able to work on your own initiative to organise the section and staff to a high level. Have excellent communication skills and be able to maintain a high standard of discipline, punctuality, and professionalism at all times.
Ideally you may come from a background working within the Gardening, Electrical, DIY, Tools and Timber & Building sector, preferred but not essential.
Hours to be discussed at interveiw
To ensure that customers are invoiced accurately and that they are able to move through the tills as quickly as possible without unnecessary delay. The checkouts represent the last area where the customer experiences Stax within the building. You will also oversee the picking, packing and delivery operation, ensuring that customers orders are picked and delivered within the offered turnaround period.
This position is very hands on, and you will need to be able to make sound accurate decisions.
This role is Monday to Thursday 9.30am – 6.30pm, Friday 9.30am – 4.30pm. You will need to be flexible with your working hours as you will be required to provide holiday cover within your team.
You will be working in our busy cafeteria carrying out general kitchen duties, food preparation, maintaining health and hygiene standards and ensuring the highest level of customer service. Previous catering experience would be preferred but not essential as full training will be given.The position is 39 hours a week, worked over a two week alternate shift:
Week 1: Monday and Tuesday 7.00am - 3.00pm, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday 7.00am - 3.30pm. Week 2: Monday and Tuesday 11.30am - 8.00pm, Wednesday and Thursday 12.00noon - 8.00pm, Sunday 8.00am - 4.30pm.
You will be expected to work 1 Saturday morning every 6 weeks.
