STABILA is celebrating its 135-year anniversary with more special models of its tried-and-tested spirit levels: spirit level sets 80 AS-2 and 196-2 in an exceptional Dark Shadow design. In March, the company released special models of the TECH 196 electronic spirit level. Now, it is selling spirit levels in a limited-edition anniversary set with an anthracite matt coating, something rare for tool specialists. All of the special models are made in Germany and contain proven spirit level technology from STABILA. For durable precision, the quality vials are connected to and cannot be removed from the aluminium rectangular profile, as part of a special installation process (LOCKED VIALS). This also prevents the vials from detaching if the spirit level is dropped.

The 80 AS-2 Dark Shadow spirit level set: Accurate and reliable

The 80 AS-2 Dark Shadow set with an additional second vertical vial is available in lengths 60 cm and120 cm. This perfectly equips professionals for any project. The spirit levels are the right choice for all kinds of measurement tasks, including garden and landscaping work, reinforced concrete construction, carpentry, drywall installation, joinery and tiling.

The aluminium rectangular profile features reinforcing ribs for high stability and a secure grip when in use in the field. The anti-slip stoppers integrated into the impact-resistant plastic end caps ensure a firm hold when marking and prevent the spirit level from slipping. The spirit levels have two measuring surfaces each, enabling accurate measurement in any position – including the reverse position. Measuring accuracy is ± 0.5 mm/m in the normal position and ± 0.75 mm/m in the reverse position. Both measuring surfaces are coated to protect sensitive surfaces. The electrostatic powder coating makes these tools easy to clean, helping to remove the kind of dirt that is typically accumulated on construction sites.

196-2 Dark Shadow spirit level set: Tough and versatile

STABILA’s 196-2 spirit level series is the right choice for measuring in a standard and reverse position in bricklaying, carpentry, timber construction, reinforced concrete construction, window fitting, road construction, gardening and landscaping. The Dark Shadow anniversary set includes lengths 61 cm and 122 cm.

Developed for heavy duty use every day, the extra-strong aluminium profile with reinforcing ribs plays an important role. It is lightweight yet very stable, and has a secure hold. Large-sized finger-grip openings ensure optimal, comfortable handling at all times. The end caps with slip stoppers ensure that the spirit level stays firmly in place when marking measurements. The special mix of materials also makes them shock-absorbing, which protects the profile if it is knocked. Another plus point is that the end caps can be removed to get right into the corners and make accurate markings there. An electrostatic powder coating also makes the spirit levels easy to clean.
